Episode 1
1999, Mijas, Spain. When 19-year-old Rocío Wanninkhof is found brutally murdered, the civil guard narrows in on a prime suspect close to the victim’s mother Alicia: Dolores Vázquez.
Episode 2
Despite a lack of physical evidence, Dolores is arrested for Rocío’s murder. With public opinion increasingly turned against her after the media publicizes her bygone romance with Alicia, Dolores’ mental health begins to deteriorate.
Episode 3
As the media frenzy surrounding Dolores’ trial intensifies, the prosecution presents a case built on conjecture to an already biased jury.
Episode 4
Dolores is found guilty and sent back to prison – but six months later, her case is overturned. As she awaits a retrial, another young woman disappears on the Costa del Sol.

As similarities are drawn between Sonia and Rocío’s cases, Tony King – an Englishman with a record of violence against woman – is arrested and linked to both murders.
