Synopsis
Twenty-one corpses are found in the water of Tai Wu. All of them are naked and their faces have been spoiled. They are all officials of the yamen. They have been killed by LUNG and YIK who impersonate them and move into the yamen. They use the tax to assist the poor and they plan to avenge their brother's death by killing PAO. PAO arrives and meet LUNG, who claims that he is the local judge, to discuss the case. LUNG invites PAO to stay, hoping to kill him with bombs. However PAO refuses and moves into CHART's house. CHART's original name is YEUNG. Fifteen years ago, the local judge lusted for his wife's beauty and raped her. She killed herself. CHART reported the case to the court but the corrupted officials refused to handle his case. Soldiers were sent to arrest him. CHART and his daughter were released by his loyal servant CHUNG. CHART jumped down a cliff and was saved by PAO. His daughter was saved by LUNG who named her YIK.… ...
