Episode 1
Aichi Sendou, a timid youth who gets his precious card taken by his classmate, Katsumi Morikawa. Aichi goes after Morikawa, and heads towards a card shop called Card Capital.
Episode 2
Aichi Sendou challenges Toshiki Kai to a cardfight in order to get his card, Blaster Blade, back. As Kai teaches Aichi about the rules, he notices Aichi’s smile during the fight.
Episode 3
A young cardfighter, Kamui Katsuragi, heads towards Card Capital in order to become the strongest cardfighter. Kai nominates Aichi, who happens to be at the shop, to fight Kamui.
Episode 4
Misaki Tokura, a shop assistant inexperienced with cardfighting, becomes interested in Vanguard upon seeing how Aichi Sendou evolves. With an invitation from Aichi, Misaki steps up to her first fight.
Episode 5
Aichi Sendou applies to join the CF Research Club that Katsumi Morikawa and the rest are in. However, CF Research Club faces the crisis of being abolished with the grades of Morikawa and the rest being far below acceptable.
Episode 6
Aichi and the rest encounter Leon Soryu, champion of the Asia Circuit, and Gouki Daimonji, runner-up, at the grand Cardshop "Voyage"that Kamui Katsuragi originally played at.
Episode 7
Kenji Mitsusada joins and forms a team at "Voyage" with the other members of Asia Circuit's top 3, and is set to participate in the shop battle. One day, Mitsusada visits Card Capital without notice.
Episode 8
The shop battle begins with Card Capital's representative, Team Q4, facing off against Voyage's representative, Team NwO. Gouki Daimonji and his sister Nagisa are the first members that Q4 needs to defeat.
Episode 9
The proud fighter, Toshiki Kai, and Emperor of the Card World, Kenji Mitsusada, face off in the third match of the shop battle. The two fighters with high potential are neck and neck in this climax fight where both of them use their trump cards.
Episode 10
Fourth match of the shop battle has Aichi Sendou facing off against Leon Soryu. Fighting an uphill battle against Leon's "Wind", Aichi experiences a different imagination for his fight.
Episode 11
Kamui Katsuragi and Gouki Daimonji battle in the deciding match. While trying to defeat Gouki, Kamui recalls what Gouki once said to him.
Episode 12
Minami Kawanami, a member of the mysterious group "Asteroid", appears at Card Capital. The "VF Glove" that they use appears to be dangerous item that allows the damage of cardfights to manifest.
Episode 13
Voyage gets taken over by Asteroid. Kamui challenges a member of the strongest team "AL4", Kyou Yahagi, in an attempt to reclaim the place where he used to belong.
Episode 14
The one who spoke to Aichi while his movements were sealed by the lethal combo of Kyou's "Dueling Dragon, ZANBAKU", was none other than the Blaster Blade from his imagination.
Episode 15
Asaka Narumi of Team AL4 appears at Card Capital looking for the place that Kai belongs. Foreseeing that, Miwa faces Asaka and the Asteroids in an attempt to keep them away from Kai.
Episode 16
Misaki and Asaka battle. Ren Suzugamori, the leader of the Asteroids, appears during their fight. Meanwhile, Kyou suggests to Aichi and Kamui that thay should go "Asteroid Hunting".

Aichi learns from Kyou that hearing the voices of cards is something known as "PSYqualia". And Misaki's fight against Ren, who's able to use that ability, is......
Episode 18
Kai recollects hanging out with Ren and Tetsu of Team AL4, and his reunion with Aichi, upon knowing that Ren paid a visit to Card Capital.
Episode 19
Tetsu appears before Aichi and friends while they are Asteroid hunting. The hidden power of PSYqualia is discovered when Tetsu challenges Aichi to a cardfight for his research on PSYqualia.
Episode 20
Kai and Miwa enter the Asteroid headquarters and defeat the members. Elsewhere, after the fight with Tetsu, the exhausted Aichi and Kamui encounters the leader of Asteroid, Ren.
Episode 21
Teams Q4 and AL4 gather at the Asteroid headquarters. Kai fights Ren in a decisive battle to protect Aichi. The battle begins between Kai, who denies the power of PSYqualia, and Ren, who is overflowing with that power.
Episode 22
Kai and Ren faces off in the destined match. While teams Q4 and AL4 watch on, Kai rides a new trump card. Who will come out on top in this serious fight?
Episode 23
The fight between the users of PSYqualia, Aichi and Ren, reaches its climax. Can Aichi overcome Ren, whose imaginations originate from a warped thirst, and sever the chains of these fights?

Aichi and friends return to their peaceful days after the battle against Asteroid. A few days later, Kai challenges Aichi to a fight at Card Capital.
Episode 25
During the fight with Aichi, Kai begins to understand his feelings towards the fight. Aichi pushes forward with his PSYqualia during the fight.
Episode 26
Aichi's friends see him off as he heads towards the Asia Circuit as a representative of Japan. Meanwhile, in a mysterious dimension, familiar units and the clans they belong to are introduced.
Episode 27
Aichi's wins in the Asia Circuit have him face off against Leon once more in the finals...... And after some time, Aichi's now a high school student! However, Vanguard isn't popular at all in Miyaji Academy, the school he has enrolled in.
Episode 28
Kourin, from Ultrarare, transfers to Miyaji Academy, and joins Aichi's Cardfight Club. As the club applicants who want to get to know Kourin gather, Aichi's childhood acquaintance, Naoki, appears.
Episode 29
Naoki takes on Kourin's club entry test. Confronting his past self, he fights with all he has even though he's a beginner. Can he grab hold of his future with his deck and Shin's training?
Episode 30
With Naoki's entry, the club works towards gaining official approval. However, Naoki senses that he's being watched. The culprit is none other than Shingo Komoi, who is interested to join the club.

Misaki is feared as the Backstage Boss of Miyaji Academy. She keeps declining Aichi's invitations to join the Cardfight Club to avoid troubling him, until Kourin can bear it no longer and challenges her to a fight.

The Cardfight Club heads towards an exchange match. Their opponents, Fukuhara High VG Club, feature familiar faces from Asteroid such as Ren and Asaka, and also ULTRARARE member, Suiko.
Episode 33
Naoki and his powered up deck faces the experienced idol, Suiko. During the intense fight, "Takuto Tatsunagi" from the "Tatsunagi Foundation" makes his appearance.
Episode 34
Aichi and friends encounter the mysterious fighter, Kouji Ibuki. What is the power of "Delete" of the malicious "Deletor" units that belong to the person who taught Kai and Miwa Vanguard!?

CF club returns to their peaceful daily routine after the exchange with Fukuhara. "Takuto Tatsunagi", the "Concert Master" and chairman of the Tatsunagi Foundation, reveals a shocking truth to ULTRARARE.

Concert Master Takuto Tatsunagi challenges Ibuki to a fight to find out what the mysterious unit "Deletor" is. Takuto seems to have the advantage with PSYqualia, but......

As the "Destiny Conductor", Takuto commands Suiko and Rekka to go to Fukuhara. The aim of these girls is to infect the vanguard fighters with a certain power.

The invasion of the PSYqualia zombies spreads towards Card Capital. Kai brings forth the power of a new Overlord in order to save Kamui and the others who have become PSYqualia zombies.

Aichi and the CF club are brought by Kyou to the card shop. What awaits them are Rekka, who turned Kyou into a zombie, and a gang of PSYqualia zombies!

Though Aichi defeated the PSYqualia zombies without breaking a sweat, Ibuki appears before him! Kyou, with his new power of PSYqualia, imagines himself defeating Ibuki with his new trump card, but......

Aichi is driven into a corner by the PSYqualia zombie Naoki. In the middle of their intense fight, the one who intervened in their imaginations was Kourin.
Episode 43
Entrusting Naoki and Aichi to Shingo, Misaki heads for the Tatsunagi mansion, where she encounters Kourin. The curtain rises for the fight to release her beloved friend from her fate.
Episode 44
Aichi finally awakens as the strongest PSYqualia zombie. Kai, Ren, and friends head for the Tatsunagi mansion upon contact from Misaki, but the one who stands in their way is none other than Ibuki.
Episode 45
Ibuki will not stop until Kai is deleted. Ibuki fights with the power of despair and resentment towards Vanguard, but PSYqualia reveals a light in his imagination of Kai from his memories.

PSYqualia zombie Aichi appears at the Tatsunagi mansion. Misaki fights to bring back the original Aichi, but Aichi's strength has undergon a transformation into a different kind of ruthlessness.

Ren arrives at the Tatsunagi mansion, and challenges the mastermind behind this, the Destiny Conductor. But as Ren's fight against the abnormal "Starhulk" units unfolds......

PSYqualia zombie Aichi fights against Ibuki. The ability and anger contained within them clash at full force, but as the abnormal fight unfolds......

Although Aichi is released from the control of being PSYqualia zombie upon being deleted by Ibuki's Deletors, Aichi loses his self as a Vanguard fighter as well.
Episode 50
The final battle that will decide the future of Vanguard begins with the actions of Aichi and the Destiny Conductor. Meanwhile, the forces of both planet Cray and wandering planet Brandt rally to war.

The deities of both planet Cray and planet Brandt descend in the final act. Fighting alongside his allies towards the conclusion of the distorted fate, the light of salvation appears within Aichi's sword.
